Our Soaping Process
At Saddlebred Suds, every bar is handcrafted in small batches. We use two traditional soapmaking methods—cold process and melt & pour—to create products that are as beautiful as they are functional. Each method has unique benefits, allowing us to offer a wider variety of designs, scents, and specialty soaps.
Cold Process Soap
Cold process soap is made from scratch by combining oils and butters with lye, beginning the natural process of saponification. Each loaf is poured, cut by hand, and cured for several weeks before it is ready to use.
